Savoring the Vall del Llèmena: Our Table at Masía Can Pou

Many people ask us what the secret is behind our dinners and breakfasts. For us, the answer is simple: it’s not just food—it’s a journey through the valley that surrounds us and through the hands of the people who care for it.

When you sit down at the table in the masía, you’re tasting a piece of our home and the environment around us. Everything starts very early, when we ourselves begin kneading and baking the bread and pastries that we serve. There is nothing we enjoy more than the aroma of freshly baked bread filling the kitchen, or preparing those artisanal yogurts that you love so much. It’s our way of welcoming you, with products we’ve seen grow and come to life.
Much of what reaches your plate comes directly from our own garden or from Saúl, our neighbor. Between his harvests and what we collect ourselves, we manage to give the vegetables that real, authentic flavor—the kind that only the earth provides when its rhythm is respected.
But the journey through the Vall del Llèmena doesn’t end there. We are proud to have friends like Pablo, who brings us traditional cheeses all the way from Granollers de Rocacorba. Or Marta and Jordi, who transform the valley’s fruit into the artisanal jams that accompany your toast.

In the end, both in our dinners and breakfasts, what we aim for is that you don’t just eat, but truly feel where you are. It’s a commitment to authenticity and to the people who, like us, love this corner of the world. We want every bite to tell you that you are in the right place, enjoying the calm and the gifts of the land when it is treated with care.

And you, what is that simple flavor that always manages to transport you home? We would love to read your thoughts in the comments.
We are Eirene and Donatello, and since 2018 we have cared for Masía Can Pou so that it can be the refuge where we ourselves would want to get lost.
