Sunset is something truly special: the sky turns warm shades, the mountains fade into the distance, and the day says goodbye with calm. Near Masia Can Pou you’ll find corners where the sunlight becomes a spectacle. Here we share three unique places to experience it:
1. Lake Banyoles
The largest natural lake in Catalonia offers a perfect mirror for sunset. As the sun begins to descend, the water glows with oranges and pinks, while boats and water birds float gently. It’s an ideal place to stroll along the perimeter path or simply sit on a bench and let yourself be wrapped in the stillness.
Tip: for an even more special experience, head to the pier of Les Pesqueres, the old fishermen’s houses that reflect in the water, creating an unforgettable postcard.

2. Rocacorba Viewpoint
Just a few minutes by car (or for the bravest, by bike), you’ll find the climb up to the Sanctuary of Rocacorba. From its viewpoint, the panorama opens over the Pla de l’Estany, Girona and, on clear days, even the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. Watching the sun set behind the Pyrenees from this natural balcony is a privilege.
Tip: bring a light jacket, even in summer, as it cools down quickly in the evening at the top.

3. Girona City Walls
The city of Girona is pure magic at sunset. Walking along the medieval walls and stopping at one of its viewpoints lets you see how the golden light bathes the rooftops of the city while the cathedral slowly lights up. It’s a perfect spot for those who enjoy an urban atmosphere, but with its historical charm intact.
Tip: combine your visit with a stroll through the Barri Vell (Old Quarter) and dinner at one of its terrace restaurants.

Experience it at Can Pou
After enjoying any of these sunsets, returning to Masia Can Pou is a way to extend the experience: the song of crickets, the fresh country air and, if you wish, a glass of wine in our garden as night falls. Because here, each day says goodbye in its own way, but always with calm and beauty.
