The end of summer brings one of the most special moments of the year to our land: the harvest. Between September and October, the vineyards of Empordà are filled with golden and purple hues, the air is infused with sweet aromas, and the wineries come alive. It is the moment when the grapes, after months of sun and tramontana wind, are transformed into wine.

If you want to experience this unique moment up close, we suggest a few wineries near Masía Can Pou that open their doors during the harvest to show their processes and share their passion:
La Vinyeta (Mollet de Peralada): a young and creative project where you can stroll through the vineyards, learn about the harvesting process, and enjoy a wine tasting that expresses the authenticity of Empordà.
Celler Hugas de Batlle (Colera): vineyards with sea views that combine tradition and landscape. During the harvest, they offer tours explaining every detail of the vineyard work, ending with a tasting of their wines.

Masia Serra (Cantallops): a family-run winery where the harvest becomes a shared ritual. Their tastings, accompanied by olive oil and cheeses, allow you to savor the essence of the Albera.
Espelt Viticultors (Vilajuïga): with vineyards between sea and mountains, their guided tour lets you discover how the land and climate shape the character of each bottle.
Exploring these wineries is a way to immerse yourself in the history and character of our region and understand why Empordà wines have such a distinct personality.

And if, after your excursion, you feel like continuing the journey by the glass, at Masía Can Pou you’ll find a small selection of Empordà wines, chosen from family-run wineries that care for the land with the same attention we give to caring for you.
A toast to the harvest, to the landscapes that surround us, and to every shared moment. 🥂
